American sports broadcaster Brian Custer has revealed some interesting news. According to Custer, team Canelo Alvarez has already spoken to Jermall Charlo’s promoter Al Haymon of the PBC. Haymon was in Vegas following Canelo’s win over Caleb Plant to discuss a fight against the ‘undisputed’ champion.

Canelo Alvarez put on yet another dominant display on November 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and knocked out IBF champion Caleb ‘Sweethands’ Plant in the 11th round. After his historic win, Canelo has looked to take on other champions from different weight classes.

After the November 6 fight, Custer said, “He told me this, he said, ‘I wanna fight in May of 2022’ and he said, I asked him, I said, which one is more of a reality Charlo or Benavidez? Custer made another announcement, saying, “Haymon was in Vegas for the Canelo/Plant fight but more importantly to talk to Canelo folks about doing a Charlo deal and that was after the fight.”
