Queensbury Boxing has announced that it will produce a Fight Card on September 12. The headliner of the proposed event will see light heavyweight boxer Anthony Yarde make a return against Dec Spelman at the BT Sport studio. Yarde will look to use the fight as an opportunity to elevate himself back into the championship scene.
However, Dec Spelman will be motivated as he aims to end a two-fight losing streak and prevent Yarde from being able to stake a claim to fight Lyndon Arthur. The commonwealth light-heavyweight champion beat ‘Kid Nytro’ in his last fight to retain his belt last month.

Lyndon Arthur punches Dec Spelman
‘Spelman’ has made a quick turnaround for a September fight. He can take solace from the fact that he became only the fourth boxer to take Arthur the distance. He aired his views on fighting Yarde and promised to make amends for his last fight.

Anthony Yarde and Dec Spelman see their match as a proving ground
Spelman labeled his last bout as a technical affair he “couldn’t get to grips with.”
He said, “If Yarde wants some action then bring it on. I will actually be his first test at domestic level so we will see how he looks on the night.”
However, Yarde sees Spelman as a stepping stone in his ascent to the summit. He intends to announce himself as a dominant light heavyweight.

The 19-1 boxer said, “This will be all about me reminding people that I am the force of the division and I am heading right back to the top where I intend to dominate and reign for a long time to come.”
Despite his strong words, he understands that Spelman will pose unique challenges. However, he scouted ‘Kid Nytro’ during his last fight. Hence, Yarde believes he will use the bout as an exhibition to let fans know what they can get when he eventually challenges the commonwealth light heavyweight champion.
He said, “I respect Dec Spelman as a fighter, but this is the chance for me to show everyone what they can expect when I get to share a ring with Lyndon Arthur.”

The main event will be exciting for fans as both boxers will aim to prove themselves and challenge for titles.
The other fights on the card too are interesting. A heavyweight fight features Nathan Gorman fight Richard Lartey and middleweights Mark Heffron and Denzel Bentley clash with the latter’s undefeated streak on the line. The card also features a welterweight bout between Ekow Essuman and Cedrick Peynaud.
