The new year seems promising with exciting fights and potential matchups paving a way for an explosive twelve months. Meanwhile, former three-division lineal champion and boxing promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, also has big plans for the year. In fact, he recently posted a picture on social media detailing his aspirations for the year. And it undoubtedly got fans talking.

De La Hoya took to Instagram with a series of pictures to ring in the year 2023. Notably, the pictures taken by his partner, Holly Sonders, showed a shirtless De La Hoya at the beach.

Moreover, in the caption, he mentioned that 2023 will be his best year yet. He also added that he has kept his hard work and discipline intact. And that he will not be letting go of the goals that he has set.

Fans were intrigued to see the pictures shared by De La Hoya. In fact, they even took to the comments to share their thoughts about the same. And it should be said that a lot of the comments were far from kind.

However, he also had a few comments that showed him support. Women’s boxing superstar, Amanda Serrano, was impressed with his physique. She said, “You’re looking amazing at your age Oscar. You’re so inspiring.”

In the same vein, his partner Holly Sonders said, “Mexico’s Finest.”

And German-Armernian professional boxer, Karo Murat, wished him saying, “Happy new year’s Oscar.”

Meanwhile, a lot of fans felt that his abs were fake. Kaliq Scott commented, “How much them abs cost asking for a friend?”
