The Lightweight division is set to witness one of its biggest fights yet. Lightweight phenom, Ryan Garcia, will finally test his mettle against the three-division world champion, Gervonta Davis. This April 2023 showdown is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated fights in the division. Meanwhile, Garcia recently took to social media to share a series of training images ahead of the fight. And, there is no denying that fans had a field day.

Garcia shared a series of photos of him shadowboxing and training. Surprisingly, the series had a picture from his childhood. And also a picture of boxing legend, Muhammad Ali. Additionally, Garcia had a message for critics in the captions, “Time to show the world.”

As reported by BoxingScene, Davis vs Garcia will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, on April 22, 2023. And will potentially accommodate around 22,000 boxing fans on the big day. Moreover, with the hype around the fight, the tickets are also speculated to sell out quickly.

Fans believe that Gervonta Davis will ‘own’ Ryan Garcia

Garcia’s pictures were sure to cause a stir among boxing fans. In fact, a lot of them took to the comments by siding with their favorite contenders. And also shared their thoughts about the potential outcome.

Sharif D wasted no time in saying, “You not winning but good luck though.”

And, Nathan KE pitched in, by saying, “Show the world how to lose to Tank.”

Similarly, Wavvy mentioned, “Tank owns you.”

Meanwhile, Ken Griffy felt that Garcia’s posting pattern was similar to that of Davis. He said, “You posting like Tank. I swear he was the only one to do a compilation of posts.”

However, a lot of fans extended support to Garcia as well. Javier Castillo questioned, “Why are they hating on this kid though? Lol.”

In the same vein, Ahmed mentioned, “How about ya’ll shut up in the comments and watch the fight happen. All ya’ll acting like kid. Rule #1 never underestimate no man. Keep your heart and confidence to yourself and grow up.”

And, Alberto Toro wanted Garcia to win the fight. He said, “Ryan Garcia wins this fight because that’s what’s best for the sport of boxing. He’s a money maker for the sport. He has way more appeal.”
