Boxing World in Disbelief Despite Positive Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. Official Reports

Terence Crawford and Errol Spence have been expected to fight each other for the longest time. The boxing world is invested in this fight as both competitors are one of the best pound-for-pound fighters and compete in the same weight division. Not to mention, the two are also undefeated and have remained dominant throughout their professional careers.

The stakes are as high as they can get and that’s why off-court negotiations have not been prolific. Since both competitors are big names; meeting a consensus becomes difficult as both parties expect their demands to be met.  It is due to this, the fight has not come to fruition as of yet. However, it is speculated that the fight is as good as done but the fans are not buying it.

How did the fans react to Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr announcement?

It is reported that Crawford and Spence Jr.’s fight is booked. @ringmagazine took to Twitter and stated, “Sources: Errol Spence Jr.-Terence Crawford will take place July 22 in Las Vegas – as first reported by  @JSantoliquito & The Ring.”

However, considering the history of the negotiations of this bout, the fans are not buying it and did not shy away from expressing it. Here are a few interesting fan reactions:

One fan will only believe when the two make their ring walks. “Not believing this until they make their ring walks”

Another fan named @Gruck made a sarcastic comment by stating, “Yeah Yeah .. but what year ?”

Another fan on similar lines went on to question the source. “Didn’t you all say the same but for June? Or am I missing something here??”

One fan named @Gruv went to the extent that nobody is interested in matchup anymore as it has been long overdue. “Crawford is on the side of 35 and been ducking fighters his whole career. Spence is right behind him. Ain’t no true boxing fan wanna watch this trash lol. A few years too late…”

Lastly, one fan is excited but again does not believe it. “FINALLY! But I won’t believe it until they are both in the RING!”
