Women’s boxing has made remarkable strides in recent years, and Boxxer, the promotional powerhouse, is gearing up to elevate it even further with ambitious plans for next year’s International Women’s Day. Just last month, Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor created history when Netflix reported that 50 million people tuned in to watch their fight.
Regardless, Ben Shalom-led Boxxer wants to put together an all women’s card on March 7th in London, which could air on Sky Sports. From the list of names reported to be on the card, the all-women’s bill is turning out to be an absolute banger, which will attempt to rebuild women’s boxing in the UK.
According to Boxing Scene, the card will feature Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price as the headlining bout. 40-year-old Jonas last appeared in the ring against Ivana Habazin on 14th December when she retained her IBF welterweight title and swiped Habazin’s WBC strap. On the same night, Price also defended her IBO welterweight title against Bexcy Mateus.

All that is left for them is to get all the belts on one waist. A unification bout was in the making long before these two women defended their titles recently. Now, Boxxer is aiming to get these two on the same card, which, reports suggest, could also feature Caroline Dubois and Francesca Hennessy. ‘Sweet Caroline’ is currently slated to fight on January 11th.

When Shalom was asked whether Dubois could get back in the ring for the March 7th bill, Shalom said, “We want the Terri Harper fight that we think makes sense – a unification. That’s the fight that we want; we’ve already put big offers in for that fight, and it’s the biggest money that Terri Harper could hope to earn for any fight, so fingers crossed that gets done.”
Meanwhile, Ben Shalom has shed more light on his plans to put together the all women’s card in March.

“We’re looking at something very special,” Shalom told Boxing Scene. “Women’s boxing, if you look at 2022, 2023, was the shining star of British boxing. Everyone was talking about, ‘Why can’t the men be more like the women?’” He highlighted that men’s boxing had a “renaissance” with the Saudi’s influence in the sport, but women’s boxing got left out of all the action.
“So we’re looking at a big women’s night in early March, in London, at a very prestigious venue that usually doesn’t host boxing,” he added, noting, “It’s going to be something very special.” Shalom also confirmed that they are gunning for the fight to be streamed live on Sky Sports, as he believes “that’s where we’re going to see the most success [in 2025].”

“There’s some seriously good talent there that can be the next Savannah Marshall, Katie Taylor, and Natasha Jonas that we’ve had so much success from,” Shalom said.
Ben Shalom appears to be on a mission to take women’s boxing to new heights with his all-women card in London. However, the lineup for the event is still under construction, leaving fans curious about which fighters will feature. Only time will tell if Shalom’s ambitious endeavor bears fruit.
