Tim Tszyu is ready to dirty his hands and put up on a display for the fans as he tries to snatch the IBF super-welterweight title next. The Australian boxer has had a tough couple of months. But it seems the rough patch ends, as he endeavors to go where no boxer has gone before and defeat Bakhram Murtazaliev. So, when does this happen? What are the other details of the fight?
Tszyu, 29, will finally return to the squared circle after dropping his undefeated record and WBO title against Sebastian Fundora in March. He became a victim of an accidental elbow blow to his head and had to deal with a gushing blood fountain throughout the fight. It took him a while before he could return to the boxing ring, as he planned his return on September 22. However, it didn’t materialize, as the former champion failed to recover in time. But he will make a return on October 19 instead in a non-PPV card hosted by the PBC on Amazon Prime Video.
TalkSports’ Michael Benson turned to his X handle and disclosed the details of the upcoming bill. He wrote, “🥊 Announced: Tim Tszyu will challenge Bakhram Murtazaliev for his IBF super-welterweight world title on Oct 19th in Florida. First non-PPV show from Al Haymon’s PBC on Amazon Prime Video.”

Interestingly, the fight will take place in Orlando and will be free for Prime subscribers, in a bid to expand the viewer base and lure the fans to the platform. There were earlier talks of hosting such a non-PPV card, but the details were not chalked out yet. It will be a perfect opportunity for Tszyu, at 24-1, to return to the winner’s column and become a champion again.
