How much would a fan be willing to pay for one of the most anticipated heavyweight clashes of the year? With just days left for the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou showdown, the pay-per-view prices for the mega event have been finally revealed.

On March 8, at the coveted Kingdom Arena of Riyadh, a crucial fight will occur between ‘AJ’ and Cameroonian-French boxer, Ngannou. For the Londoner, this fight could decide if he’ll get another chance at his old championship belts. For the latter, it is his means to position himself as a serious boxer in the heavyweight class. From a broader lens, this event comes at a time when heavyweight boxing is rising from its previous slump, in contrast to the lighter-weight divisions. With so much already weighing on this fight, how much will the fans have to shell out to catch the ‘Knockout Chaos’?

On X, Michael Benson updated the final pay-per-view (PPV) charges for the coveted clash between AJ and ‘The Predator’. It was earlier announced that the fight will be streamed live in the UK through Sky Sports and DAZN. However, in the US, and other countries, DAZN would be the sole PPV option.

For Sky Sports PPV, users will have to cough up £19.95 (about $25.28). On the other hand, Matchroom’s bastion broadcaster, DAZN has priced their PPV at £19.99 (about $25.34). This cost also includes a month’s membership with the streaming platform. However, for existing DAZN subscribers, who would have hoped for a massive discount on the PPV under the platform, their expectations have not been met. With just over a dollar less on the actual PPV price, they will have to splurge a whole £18.99 (about $24) to enjoy the heavily stacked card.

Along with AJ vs. Ngannou, Chinese heavyweight, Zhilei Zhang will defend his WBO interim heavyweight title against the challenge of Kiwi, Joseph Parker, as part of the co-main event. On the undercard, the WBC Featherweight titlist, Rey Vargas will defend his title against Nick Ball. Lightweight, Mark Chamberlain will fight Gavin Gwynne, while heavyweight Jutis Huni will fight Ziyad Almaayouf. Additionally, cruiserweight Roman Fury will take on Jack McGann.

In the days leading to fight night, many believe that 27-3, Joshua is capable enough to defeat Ngannou. However, a lot of other voices contradict this prediction. In a fresh take on this assumption, AJ’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has relayed what the Ngannou clash means for his fighter.

Biggest Challenge for Anthony Joshua?

In December, on the ‘Day of Reckoning’ card, AJ defeated his Swedish opponent, Otto Wallin, in a 5th round retirement, announcing loudly that he was back in his element. However, now, British promoter, Eddie Hearn delved deeper into why Ngannou could be lethal for his boxer.

To Ariel Helwani, Hearn noted, “This is the first time AJ has fought an opponent that outsizes him. This guy is huge. You have been around him plenty of times. When I turned to him at the press conference and started talking to him, and then I turned to AJ, it was like a cruiserweight and a heavyweight.” However, he is still confident that AJ will knock the Predator out.
