When Floyd Mayweather isn’t making the headlines, his protege Curmel Moton is all over them! After two first-round knockout victories in close succession, ‘Big Deal’ turns to social media to tease his third rendezvous in the ring. The 17-year-old newcomer spent most of his boxing career in Mayweather’s gym, building up an impressive 49-2 amateur record. Yet, the big leagues don’t seem very different!

On September 30 last year, the Utah native took down his first professional rival in the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo. His next appearance wasn’t any harder, as he dropped Hunter Turbyfill twice in the first round in the undercard of David Benavidez vs. Demetrius Andrade. Leading to him looking for a third victim, and as per his Instagram post today, he has found it.

A handful of hours ago, touted as the next Floyd Mayweather turned to the social media platform, sharing a clip of himself working the straight bags with heavy gloves. Meanwhile, in the caption, Moton wrote, “Fight date coming soon #tmt always working.” While Moton did not reveal the exact fight date in his post, some are speculating it can be in the undercard of the upcoming 27 January fight.

Jaime Munguia will take on John Ryder at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Or his next fight could be in the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Jamaine Ortiz title fight. Notably, there hasn’t been any official announcement from Moton’s corner confirming the date or opponent. However, the tease from Moton was enough to get the fans riled up as they expressed their thoughts in the comment section.

Reacting to the post, some fans motivated the young pugilist while others tried to guess when the fight could be. Meanwhile, some asked Moton to disclose the fight date!

One user predicted the outcome of the fight, asserting a guaranteed win for Moton. “3-0 soon, broski,” the user declared.

Another user pleaded with Moton to reveal the fight date so they could start betting on the fight. “Bro, drop the fight date so we have time to gamble our entire life savings,” the user commented.

Someone else threw in a wild guess, asking if the fight is on 27 January in the Munguia-Ryder undercard. “[Are] You fighting on the 27,” the user questioned.

The next user praised Moton’s bag work, claiming the shoulder starts tiring up pretty quickly. The user wrote, “People don’t know how tired your shoulders get doing bag work for 40 mins,” wrote the user.

Even the following user highlighted Moton’s hard work, underscoring the heavy gloves Moton was wearing. “Heavy gloves, hard work,” wrote the user.
