The legendary Tommy Hearns always tries to stay connected with his fans on social media, be it by hosting a game show, giving fans a chance to spend a day with him, or recently organizing a raffle contest. It was a nice gesture, but things didn’t go as planned when several fans started facing payment issues during the lottery.

But as a true man of honor, Tommy Hearns immediately took action to address the issues of the fans and ensure their resolution. He posted an online apology to the fans, showcasing his concern over the issue, and promised every fan a reward in return.

Tommy Hearns to do it again for the fans

A week ago, the former five-division champion announced fundraising by way of an online raffle using a web platform ‘Raffle Creator’. Raffle Creator lets users fundraise using their platform. Tommy Hearns, one of the Four Kings of boxing, employed the platform to auction off a few of his prized memorabilia from his golden days. Fans could claim these memorabilia by signing up and taking part in the raffle. The raffle was a success and fans from all over the world participated in the competition, but there was a persistent payment issue that hindered many fans from participating in the raffle.

The Motor City Cobra posted a video on his Instagram apologizing for the inconvenience and wrote, “Hey everyone, I want to sincerely apologize for the payment processing issues on Raffle Creator,” as he acknowledged the issue on the server. Tommy Hearns further stated that he understands fans’ frustration over the issue and has a special present for them as a token of apology. “To show my appreciation for your support, I’m reloading the raffle and adding something special—a one-of-a-kind Varsity Jacket as part of the prize!” stated Hitman, restarting the raffle so his fans could take part in the draw once again.

He was genuinely sorry for the mixup and wanted the fans to know that he wouldn’t let it happen again and thanked every one of them from the bottom of his heart. But now that this raffle has been rebooted once again with the auction set to begin on October 19, let’s take a look at the new prizes that are part of the raffle contest.

Prizes bigger than ever

The event already included Hitman’s signed casting of his fist and his golden ring attire. However, after the issue of payment, he decided to increase the stakes and added three new prizes to the contest. The new prizes include a Big Payback Custom Leather Jacket. The jacket is gold and black with ‘Hitman’ written on the front. On the backside, ‘Hearns vs Barkley 2’ was mentioned highlighting the legendary rematch between Thomas Hearns and Iran Barkley in 1992. Sadly, Tommy Hearns lost both fights. The backside also features ‘The Big Payback’ and the date of the fight embroidered onto it.

The second prize is also sensational as it includes the iconic gold robe worn by Hearns plus the original signed fist casting. And the third and final prize includes Tommy Hearns’ golden shorts with a pair of his signed red gloves.
