MMA GOAT Anderson Silva spectacularly downed Bruno Machado at their recent showdown in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. gave a hint about his interest in facing Silva in the ring.

Silva faced Machado as a part of the Global Titans Fight Series. Moreover, he also scored a stellar 5th-round knockdown. Jones Jr. who was thoroughly impressed with Silva’s performance, took to social media to congratulate him.

In an Instagram post, Jones Jr. expressed his interest in fighting Silva. He said, “I see y’a Anderson. I’m impressed so I ain’t gone sleep on y’a. Just in case. Lol. Stay ready so I don’t have to get ready.”
Moreover, he also congratulated him for his impressive performance in the bout.

Mike Tyson’s tango with Roy Jones Jr
Former undisputed heavyweight warlord ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson faced Roy Jones Jr. in a highly anticipated exhibition bout on November 28, 2020. In fact, the bout was billed as the ‘Lockdown Knockdown’, as it took place in the middle of the Covid-19 lockdowns.

Tyson had formally retired from professional boxing in 2005. However, barely a year later he announced that he would be embarking on an exhibition bout tour called ‘Mike Tyson’s World Tour’.
It was announced on June 23, 2020, that Jones Jr. had signed a fight deal with him as a part of Tyson’s Legends only league. The heavily publicized bout took place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The event was a celebration of sorts, with Jake Paul fighting the undercard and performances by hip hop moguls like Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.

The heavyweights went head to head in the bout. Moreover, the stellar performances by the Titans earned the praise of boxing fans. The find ended up being a split draw. However, the legends gave boxing fans one of the best gifts in 2020.
