Legendary boxer Mike Tyson was known for his angry demeanor and his out-of-the-world knockouts. It even earned him the moniker ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. He is recognized as one of the best boxers in the sport’s history, and he attained this status through unrelenting effort and strict practice. However, one of his bodyguard previously admitted that he used to skip training for something else that he loved.

Although Mike Tyson was known as ‘The Baddest man on the Planet’, outside the ring, he was a funny and loving guy. His ex-bodyguard, Rudy Gonzalez, once revealed why Tyson used to finish his training fast to go home.

Gonzalez explained how Tyson used to train in Vegas and hold sparring sessions from noon to five o’clock. The boxer was quite cordial with everyone before the sparring. He used to be quite courteous with his sparring partners, asking them about their families and how they were doing. But after an hour or so, he would simply knock out five men and leave.

Mike Tyson’s ex-bodyguard details why the boxer used to go home early from his training 

As per reports, Gonzalez stated early this year, “I saw him punch the heavy bag so hard it broke a few times from the chains and the other boxers would just leave saying: ‘we are not f**** with you today. I do not care how much money you pay me.”

Tyson’s ex-bodyguard further added, ”Anyone who felt they were up for taking him on, he would hit them and they’d snap. Soon after, they would pack their bags. So one day I asked: ‘Boss I am confused, isn’t this about working on techniques? He replied: ‘If I keep it going, we will miss Tom and Jerry cartoons.’”
