Following a stint in his family’s automotive business, Glaser made his way into boxing back in 1992 with the help of promoter Mike Acri, his long-time friend and collaborator. “If you can’t promote yourself, you cannot promote anybody else,” Glaser emphasizes, highlighting his belief in self-promotion and knowledge of the sport.

His website also credits him as a promoter, matchmaker, agent, and advisor. Glaser also seems to fancy himself as “a very forthright, up-front type of guy,” often giving blunt, insightful answers.
