Ryan Garcia was not the only boxer who lost money

Ryan Garcia lost USD 20,000 due to Davis’ victory. However, he was not the only boxer who lost money due to the result of the showdown. Former unified world lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez also revealed that he would bet USD 100,000 on Rolando Romero.

Lopez was in an interview with FightHype ahead of the Davis vs Romero showdown. When asked about his thoughts on the fight, he said, “Shoutout to both guys putting it on the line. And, congratulations to Rolando Romero man. I think he really does deserve it.”

Moreover, Lopez also spoke about the styles of both the fighters. He even gave emphasis on how Romero is a hard puncher and is unlike any fighter that Davis has faced. In closing, he revealed he would place a bet on Romero. He said, “I’m putting a hundred thousand on Rolly. Yeah, I’m putting a hundred thousand dollars on Rolando Romero.”

However, with the ‘unfavorable’ outcome of the bout, it seems like luck has not been in Lopez’s favor.
