Bob Arum chose Tyson Fury over Muhammad Ali. Fury gave the world an enthralling performance on 9th October at the T-Mobile Arena. He took on Deontay Wilder for their trilogy fight and delivered to the hype as he dropped Wilder three times. The fight went down as one of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time.

Bob Arum sat down with Rich Eisen for an interview on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’. Eisen asked Arum if Ali and Fury took each other on, who would win? “Fury wins. No heavyweight before or since can beat Fury. Fury is so incredible. Guys who are 6’9 were bums when Ali was fighting, coz they couldn’t move and there were always flaws.”

“But here’s a guy Fury, takes an incredible punch, moves like a Welterweight, and has a pretty good punch himself, knows how to box. We haven’t seen that combination, ever. You know, I feel sorry for Wilder, who is a terrific fighter, because he came in an era that gave us Tyson Fury,” he added.

“And remember, it’s not a fluke, because Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko when Klitschko was riding high and nobody gave Fury a chance. Fury is the goods because he can box, he can punch and he keeps getting better.” Arum believes Fury is the greatest heavyweight of all time and he will just keep getting better.

Oleksandr Usyk is open to fighting Tyson Fury next

Oleksandr Usyk‘s manager has revealed, ‘The Cat’ is open to set up an ‘undisputed’ title fight against Tyson Fury if Anthony Joshua agrees to it. Usyk is currently preparing for his rematch against Anthony Joshua after Joshua activated the rematch clause, which was part of the contract. Following his loss to Usyk, Joshua gets an immediate rematch to try and avenge his loss. However, conditions are far from ideal for the former champion.

If Fury gets to fight Usyk for all the titles, he will finally get his shot at becoming the ‘undisputed’ champion again after his win over Klitschko in 2015. Fury began this road to the top after overcoming mental health problems, drug and substance abuse, making for a perfect comeback story. This is the stuff movies are made of.

For ‘AJ’ this fight is a win-win situation since the Brit is currently looking for a new trainer. He will take time to adapt to the style of his new trainer and will want to change his game if he is to have any chance of beating Usyk.
