There aren’t many things that Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has failed to get his hands on. The ‘Rocky’ actor is one of the richest celebrities in the world and is not shy to spend his generational wealth on the material possessions which he desires. He has an out-of-this-world car collection boasting some of the fastest and most luxurious vehicles in the world. Moreover, he is also a fan of luxury watches and has an insane collection of timepieces from all the best brands in the world.

However, there was one watch that ‘Sly’ had to work for to make it his. This watch is none other than the RM 52-01 ‘Skull’ Tourbillon which Stallone got from the man of the company himself, Richard Mille. Despite this, he auctioned the timepiece in 2020 at New York Auction for $998,000 dollars.

A video by the Instagram page Insane luxury life posted a video of Stallone describing how he got the watch before auctioning it. He claimed that he had mixed feelings about selling the watch as he got it after a lot of tribulations and didn’t want to sell it.

“The watch is part of a limited edition of only 30 pieces and is characterized by a rose gold skull that appears to be suspended in the center of the case,” said Stallone, in the caption of his Instagram post.

I wanted this watch so badly, and they said well, they’re pretty much gone. They’re that rare, I only think they did a few of them. So I ended up contacting Richard Mille himself and he’s such a gentleman he found the last one. I’ve worn this thing with pride. I still have mixed feelings about this about giving it up,” he said.

This statement from Stallone seemed like he was reluctant in parting ways with his watch. Moreover, this even made the fans a little skeptical about if Stallone wholeheartedly wanted to sell his watch as they reacted to the video.

However, it could also be presumed that this auction could have been done for the purpose of charity or other social causes in which Stallone always actively takes part. In addition. this is the reason why so many people adore and respect Stallone for being so selfless and generous, even if he doesn’t have to be.
