Misery continues to pile up on Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero. His stay at the top of the super lightweight division was short-lived, and how it ended became the talk of the boxing community. The American boxer dropped the fight and the golden strap to Isaac Cruz in a dismal performance. The same allowed Bill Haney to mock ‘Rolly’.
Devin Haney‘s father, Bill, has prodigal skills on the mic, and it seems he found it amusing, watching one of the 140-pound champions go down. While some wish for the former champion to fall back to winning ways, he believes he could give the boxer a better opportunity. What did he say?

In a conversation with Fight Hype, Haney expressed his desire to employ Romero after his defeat to ‘Pitbull’. He also showcased the cars his sons owned and declared, “If you want to park Devin Haney’s 4X4 or the Wraith, the Phantom, or the Virgil, you could get a job over here.”
The Haney family lynchpin also suggested Romero, at 15-2, go back to his “stripper” gig days. He laughed as he added, “You know, while you moonlight as the stripper that you started out as. Have a good one.”
In the same conversation, Haney also suggested how they never put Romero on the list of fighters his son wants to cross. Dismayed by Romero’s ability to bring anything to the table, he continued, “Devin didn’t put Rolly on the list because we just didn’t look at him like that. He used to have a lot of stuff to say. Isaac did what he’s supposed to do. He definitely doesn’t have nothing for Devin at all.”
Senior Haney has also provided an update regarding his son’s next fight.

Who will Devin Haney fight after he is done with Ryan Garcia on April 20? There might be chances of him moving up to the 147-pound division as Terence Crawford is ready to explore life at 154. However, he can have his pick between Subriel Matias and the newly crowned champion Cruz if he wants to walk the unification route.
However, Bill Haney has downplayed both fights as he believes both fights will be “stay busy fights” for his son. He told Thaboxingvoice, “Either one of them. They’re both the same. All these fights I see for Devin are ‘stay busy’ fights.”
