Tyson Fury is all set to collide with long-time rival Dillian Whyte on April 23. This will be Fury’s second consecutive title defense, wherein he’ll look to outclass Whyte, and retain his strap as well as his undefeated record. Also, the Briton has remained clear on signing off from the sport after this fight.
Reiterating on that, Fury spoke about his retirement plans and more, while speaking to Ariel Helwani of late.
He said, “I’ve got bigger fish to fry than boxing. I’ve got a wife, I’ve got six kids. I’ve got a lot of stuff that I want to achieve in my life and I need my faculties to do that. And I need to be able to talk when I’m doing all these movies and TV shows and everything you know how we do.”

Prior to the Dillian Whyte fight getting finalized, Fury and his team remained keen to explore an undisputed tussle with Oleksandr Usyk. However, the latter is contractually obligated to confront former champ, Anthony Joshua in a rematch.
That said, Fury after much rigmarole got locked with Dillian Whyte. Also, the latter stood as the top opponent for ‘The Gypsy King’ as he held the WBC interim heavyweight belt.

Fury was earlier keen to fight rival compatriot Anthony Joshua and Usyk as well. But looking at the prevailing scenario, it seems a rematch between ‘AJ’ and Usyk will take time. Accordingly, Fury isn’t willing to wait much, and he wishes to sign off after fighting Dillian Whyte.

However, the 33-year-old seems firm in his decision and it’s unlikely that he’ll fight again after facing Dillian Whyte. Regardless of that, his final call will be the one to watch out for.
