A few days back, the news of Errol Spence Jr. suffering an eye injury did the rounds in the boxing fraternity. Everyone, including the fans, fighters, and promoters, seemed disheartened with the same as they wanted to see the American boxer’s upcoming fight. The WBC and IBF welterweight champ was all set to enter a title defense showdown against the veteran, Manny Pacquiao on August 21.
But his retinal tear forced him to withdraw from his fight against ‘Pacman’. Following this, most of the fans and fighters sent their condolence messages to Spence Jr. But, on the other hand, there were a few boxing personalities who seemed unimpressed with the same.
Boxing legend, Bernard Hopkins, over the past few days, has given his honest take on Spence Jr.’s injury. Recently, in an exclusive chat with Fight Hub TV, he asked for proof of ‘The Truth’s injury.

“If you tell me something now, you got to show me. I think the fans in the world deserve,” he said.
He added, “I think the credibility come is when you show, exhibit one. See, I’m a showman person. I’m not going to tell you what happened, and you got to take my word for it. Not that I’m saying you should. But if I show you, I don’t have to do too much speaking.”

Errol Spence Jr.‘s injury might have left Hopkins fuming. Unfortunately, though, ‘The Truth’ had no control over the same.

The welterweight sensation has gone past the emergency surgery, and he’s recovering with time. However, he might have a few more surgeries aligned to get his eye completely healed.
