Jake Paul and Ben Askren got involved in a minor physical altercation in their recent face-off. After meeting face-to-face, the duo pushed each other and intensified the build-up of their much-awaited fight.

While it seemingly displayed their animosity against each other, Paul’s moves did not intimidate Askren. Although it helped to sensationalize the upcoming fight, ‘Funky’ still picked up time to ridicule Jake Paul and his recent stance. Reacting to the whole scenario, Ben Askren connected with ESPN and explained why he actually turned it physical with Jake Paul in the face-offs.

“So, I was about to step away having to phaseout my step when I saw him coming back at me. So, I was just, you know, gave him, get out of my face type of thing. Like, a big brother would do to Logan’s little brother,” said Askren.

He added, “And he didn’t like that, so he like, he gave me a body shot, a palm body shot, very very weak… Hope that’s not the best he has.”

That’s not the only thing to have vexed the former UFC star. Jake Paul also face-timed Askren’s former rival, Jorge Masvidal, and ‘Funky’ reacted to the same. He said, “That’s very low-hanging fruit. How dorky was that?”
