Mayweather has been in the center of several call-outs. This is because he agreed to fight YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition fight. Now, even Ben Askren wants to take on the legendary boxer.

However, unlike the Paul brothers, Askren has announced that he will take on Mayweather in a 2 of 3 falls wrestling match. He took to his Instagram to reveal the same.

As you can expect, the legendary boxer has not announced any news or confirmed this. However, Askren did say he would continue to pin ‘amateurs with large amounts of popularity’. Thus, with these comments, ‘Funky’ took a dig at his opponent, Jake Paul.

Despite the announcement, this is just a way for Askren to jump on the trend of people calling out the legendary boxer. Even with everything that’s happening in the sport, we can’t see Mayweather fighting in a wrestling match.

Why won’t Floyd Mayweather go up against Ben Askren in a wrestling match?

The legendary boxer has always been the ‘A-side’ of these exhibitions. ‘Money’ always agreed to do them only on his terms. However, he would have to learn a new sport to take on ‘Funky’ in a wrestling match.

Even though they may have pushed his fight against Logan Paul forward, Mayweather will not entertain these call-outs. This post from Askren was solely to continue to hit out at Jake Paul, who has also called out Mayweather.

The reason such celebrities, including rapper 50 Cent, called out Mayweather, is his willingness to do things that are out of the box. However, wrestling a former Olympian and MMA champion with no previous wrestling experience is too far-fetched even for him.
