2024 has turned out to be a devastating year for the Garcia family. Boxing star Ryan Garcia went through a traumatizing experience when he came to know that his mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer soon after his victory on April 20. In addition, the Victorville native’s boxing career is currently in jeopardy due to a one-year suspension from the NYSAC. After that, he also announced his retirement from boxing.

However, he disclosed it via social media, one of the many thousands of posts he frequently shares. Hence, his supporters shouldn’t be concerned about his retirement as he will be able to return to the ring in a year. But, his social media behavior likely reflects a disturbed frame of mind.

In a social media post, the boxer enumerated several negative things that are happening to him simultaneously. His mother’s illness was the first thing he brought up. After that, he talked about being sued, having his supplements tainted, and going through a divorce. He added that he had been the target of hate from the internet for years. He also faces his issues with his opponent Devin Haney who is now preparing to sue him. Despite lamenting that he is being attacked from all sides, he wrote in the end, “I STILL LOVE GOD, HE IS EVERYTHING”.

His mother Lisa Garcia shared the same post by her son and wrote in the caption, “Don’t worry about me son – I got G.O.D – Praise His Holy name in the mist of the storm He is so great and He loves us all . Open your hearts and allow Jesus into your lives just as you are!”

While asking him not to worry about her, she also urged him to ask for forgiveness from God. She wrote, “He will forgive you of your sins. Revelation 21:5: “And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true’.”

However, Ryan Garcia’s recent social media activity has raised eyebrows among fans. His posts have taken a concerning turn, with some suggesting they might indicate underlying mental health issues. This is further compounded by the news of him facing felony vandalism charges for damaging property at a Beverly Hills hotel. These developments have left many fans worried about Garcia’s well-being. Despite this, Garcia has recently revealed his plans for the future.
