Beterbiev, at 20-0, is your typical hard-hitting champion who looms over one’s shoulder and his size also makes him a daunting presence. When you add into the mix his walkout song, he shapes to be a fighter you don’t want to stand across from inside the arena. Interestingly, the Khasavyurt native only uses one song throughout his professional career.
Notably, the unified champion uses ‘Forward Akhmat’ by a Chechan singer Rizavdi Ismailov as his theme song. It’s something that he made a tradition of. Interestingly, the lyrics seem loosely focused on losing innocence, childhood, and a probable hint of going to war. But he is not alone.

Bivol, at 23-0, has also used a particular Russian song when he has stepped into the ring. While Beterbiev has used a piece of somber music, Bivol has picked up an upbeat song in ‘Blood Type’ by a famed Russian rock band KINO Group. While the Tokmok native has made its use a tradition, he also broke it once when he fought the biggest fight of his career against Canelo Alvarez.
