Can Bivol's ring IQ outsmart Beterbiev's raw power, or will brute force dominate the ring?

Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will fight in a light heavyweight clash on Saturday, October 12, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to determine the next undisputed champion. The fight was supposed to take place in June, but Beterbiev suffered a meniscus tear and the match was postponed.

Fans are desperately waiting to see the clash between these two giants with completely different styles. Going into the fight, Beterbiev is the favorite, courtesy of his impeccable record of 20 victories via knockout. Former light heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Gvozdyk sat down with ‘Round Eight Boxing’ and gave his opinion on the fight. Furthermore, he also imparted a crucial piece of advice for Bivol to help him in the upcoming fight on Saturday.

Gvozdyk was excited about the fight himself and thought that the styles of these two boxers would clash perfectly. He termed Bivol as one of the best fighters in the world currently and praised his techniques and ring IQ. “This is two different styles fighters. We are expecting a really good matchup and it is going to be a really good fight,” stated ‘The Nail’ while talking about the synergy between the two boxers.

He further gave the IBO World Light Heavyweight champion a piece of crucial advice for the fight. As someone who has faced Beterbiev before, Gvozdyk’s insight could be massive. He advised Bivol to keep moving and not stay still in ‘The Rabbit’s’ radar.

“Just don’t let him punch you. Run away! Because it is not a good idea to stay near the ropes against him,” stated Gvozdyk. The unification bout between Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev in 2019 was one of the most hyped-up matches of the year. Both of them were undefeated while going into the match but only ‘The Rabbit’ stayed one by the end of it. The early rounds were balanced but the unified champion started dominating as the match went on.
