Jermall Charlo and Jermell Charlo- ‘Hitman’ and ‘Iron Man’
On 19 May 1990, Jermall Charlo and Jermell Charlo were born in Louisiana, USA. However, they grew up in Houston, Texas, where the identical twins discovered a common passion for boxing. Interestingly, Jermall, the ‘Big Charlo’ is a minute older than his twin Jermell Charlo. That said, ‘Hitman’ is also in a higher weight class than this twin.
According to the reports of The Sun, the Charlo twins attended Alief Hastings High School as teenagers. Back then, the future boxers were interested in football and basketball. However, their father Kevin Charlo took them to a gym where they saw their lives change. They trained under the local hero Ronnie Shields and grabbed attention pretty quickly.
In a chat with SHOWTIME Sports, Shields had praised the brothers, revealing how they became stars of the gym. “I would train Evander Holyfield in Houston and I used to see Jermall and his brother Jermell in the gym every day and every single day they would say ‘you’re going to train us or what man?’” said Shields.

As of now, Jermall Charlo is undefeated and holds the WBC middleweight title (160 lbs) along with a professional record of 31-0 (22 KOs). Meanwhile, Jermell Charlo is the WBA (Super), WBC, and IBF super welterweight champion. However, he is not undefeated and boasts of a record of 34-1 (18 KOs).
