MMA veteran Anthony Taylor would need YouTube star Slim Albaher to defeat British influencer boxer KSI on August 31 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. However, ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor is sure he will break Nico Ali Walsh’s jaw like Ken Norton once did to the legendary heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. Why would Anthony Taylor want to do something like that?

Well, here’s the scoop! Last weekend, Muhammad Ali’s grandson locked horns with Sona Akale in the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Steve Claggett. After the fight, Walsh proudly announced that he fights real boxers, and isn’t involved in the “circus” known as influencer boxing despite being offered millions to fight Jake Paul. This seems to have angered Taylor, who mercilessly attacked Walsh during an interview with Fight Hub TV yesterday.

Despite being months away from his 2 vs. 1 fight against KSI on Misfits 17, Taylor revealed his desire to face Ali Walsh or Floyd Mayweather on a Misfits card. He said, “I will destroy him at 168. He doesn’t come close to me. I will break Nico’s jaw, like Ken Norton did to his grandfather, Muhammad Ali”. It’s worth mentioning that Ken Norton defeated Ali via a split decision back in March 1973, in part because of his unorthodox boxing style.

It involved jabbing from below and crossing his hands for defence, and it’s also true that Ali was later taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a broken jaw. However, Ali came back in October of the same year to fight Norton again, and this time, it was Ali who got the last laugh, as he defeated Norton via a split decision. They would cross paths again in 1976 when Ali ultimately settled the debate in a rubber match by defeating Norton via a unanimous decision.

Regardless, Taylor continued, “I really want to fight Nico Walsh because of what he said about the scene of cross over boxing”. At the same time, Jake Paul has also responded to Walsh’s outburst after his rematch against Sona Akale.

Before Walsh publicly brought up the topic last weekend, no one really knew a potential Paul vs. Walsh fight was in the making. However, seeing Walsh taking jabs at him in the post fight interview, Paul, who is about to fight Mike Perry later this month, saw it fit to give his side of things on social media.

Reacting to a clip of the incident, Paul wrote, “His whole point here works against him. I been trying to fight this fraud and now he admitted he ducked me but calling me a circus act”. Interestingly, Paul even reacted to Walsh’s win over Akale, saying, “Gifted a decision tonight because of his last name. Smh”.

With that said, Nico Ali Walsh hasn’t responded to the callout from A thing Taylor, and neither has he responded to Paul’s comment. However, it would be interesting to see whether Walsh succumbs to the trash talk and accepts the challenge, or continues fighting mainstream boxers. Do you think Walsh should face Jake Paul or Anthony Taylor?
