Riding on a 4-fight win streak, Anthony Joshua has set his eyes on becoming a 3-time world heavyweight champion as he laces his gloves up once again to challenge IBF title holder Daniel Dubois this Saturday night. But that’s not all! AJ’s fight with ‘DDD‘ has already been sold out—setting a new British record crowd with 96,000 tickets sold at Wembley Stadium in London.
Beating Tyson Fury‘s previous 94,000 record crowd, Joshua will look to top his long-time rival at his own game as ‘The Gypsy King‘ is known worldwide for his flashy ring walks. Furthermore, the 34-year-old has also delivered some unforgettable goosebumps-inducing entrances throughout his career. While the Watford native has not revealed what song he will use for the Dubois title fight, let’s relive some of his past sensational walkouts.

Far from home, Anthony Joshua got the crowd to stand on their feet at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with an epic ring walk for the Francis Ngannou fight. Before sending the former UFC heavyweight champion into oblivion via second-round knockout, ‘AJ‘ walked out to “I Spy” by Skepta – a renowned British grime MC, rapper, record producer, and DJ.
Dillian Whyte
In 2015, the then-26-year-old rising prospect rose to stardom by knocking out Dillian Whyte in the seventh round at The O2 Arena in London, England. In his all-British clash, Joshua pulled out big guns – walking out to “Shut Up” by Stormzy as the British rapper, singer, and songwriter performed it live inside the boxing ring.
Wladimir Klitschko
In his second fight at the Wembley Stadium, ‘AJ‘ cemented his legacy by beating heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko. Knocked down in the sixth after claiming his own in round 5, the then-IBF heavyweight champion unified the vacant WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles via technical knockout after sending Klitschko to the canvas twice with a barrage of punches in the 11th round.
In front of 90,000 fans, against Klitschko, Joshua entered the stadium to tune of Stormzy’s “They Ain’t Ready” before the fans started singing along to the iconic song “Seven Nation Army” by the American rock duo – The White Stripes. Furthermore, it became a notable tune for ‘AJ‘ with fans adapting their version of “Oh Anthony Joshua.”
Andy Ruiz Jr. I and II – Sweet Revenge by Anthony Joshua
Although his US debut did not go as expected, Joshua did not fail to get fans on their feet with an epic ring walk. He used Burna Boy’s “Ye” as his walkout song at the then-Mecca of Boxing—New York’s Madison Square Garden, for his first fight against Andy Ruiz Jr. Additionally, he avenged his then-only loss later the same year in December 2019.
For his rematch with Ruiz Jr. at Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, Joshua walked out to “Fight To Win” by Femi Kuti – a song that reflects AJ’s Nigerian roots to exact his revenge and wipe the slate clean.
Oleksandr Usyk I and II
While Joshua lost miserably twice – in what is now branded as the toughest period in his career, he certainly gave fans a highlight reel walkout in both Oleksandr Usyk fights. The ring walk music for the first Usyk clash in front of 70,000 fans was more special to ‘AJ‘ as he teamed up with his cousin – a rising star musician named Maulo, to create the ultimate walkout song, “Ambitions.”
Playing the classic “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes before introduction, Joshua walked out to The LOX’s “All for Love” for the Oleksandr Usyk rematch at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While the second Usyk loss affected Joshua mentally, he made his comeback with four straight wins – with three coming via stoppages.
