Anthony Joshua will take on Kubrat Pulev in a highly anticipated fight to mark the end of the year. In a year that has been riddled with uncertainty, we are now on the brink of a blockbuster heavyweight event. ‘AJ’ will defend his belts against the Bulgarian Pulev and the fight will take place at the SSE Arena, London, England on December 12. Furthermore, it will be a rare boxing event that will feature fans, with 1000 fans being allowed to enter the arena.
Joshua will set out to make a statement in the division since he is coming off a fairly subdued victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in his last fight. Ruiz Jr beat the Englishman, only for ‘AJ’ to get his revenge in the re-match. Since then, many critics have questioned Joshua’s mettle and he will love to silence them. His promoter Eddie Hearn thinks Joshua will make light work of it. However, this will in a way be an easy fight.
Pulev has a fairly decent track record and only one defeat. That defeat was against former champion Wladimir Klitschko. However, he has fought no one from the top fighters. With this being said, he is a powerful boxer who walks you down and wants to trade punches.

His size and power will always be a constant threat to Joshua. Furthermore, Pulev has the added incentive that this could be his last chance at the title. Plus his promoter, Ivaylo Gotzev thinks Pulev has the upper-hand in the fight.
