‘Money!’ It is all the reason for the Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to make it big in boxing. His hopes to win big prize money from boxing have put him in the same category as the richest boxer in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Recently in a press conference, the former heavyweight champion revealed his real motivation for the big fights. iD Boxing News shared a clip on Instagram, which reveals what is the one thing that motivates AJ to take up big fights.
Although the post received a lot of criticism from fans, he revealed that he was broke before entering boxing and it is the main reason for him to get out of the situation. It is safe to say that his recent days are not fruitful for the former champion, but he certainly had a pretty impressive run before that.

Although the interview received some level of backlash from fans, a true sportsman like Joshua does not care about it. When the interviewer asked him the question, “What is the desire?” It took no time for AJ to answer, “Money, Money, Money! I like making money.” AJ then justified his desire further explaining why money motivates him. “This is a prizefighting sport, like I’ve been broke. My family’s been broke, I know what this s*** means, and I do it cause I’m good at it, and I hustle hard and when it’s all said and done, no one will care about me no more,” he added.
After his statement about money went viral, fans put him in the same category as Floyd Mayweather Jr. Notably, Mayweather also talks about money all the time, and it has certainly made him the richest boxer ever.
