Anthony Joshua is all set to lock horns with Dillian Whyte again for the second time in his career. Their rematch has been scheduled for August 12, 2023, at the O2 Arena, in London. Before this, Joshua was involved in a conversation with ‘ The Gypsy King’, Tyson Fury, but the fight couldn’t come to fruition for a number of reasons. Although, he could never understand the reason behind it falling apart, as he would never say no to a fight. He said, “If that was me, I would have gone in there and fought, but it’s not me so I can’t really comment on another man’s decisions.” Apart from this, there are also hints looming online about the fight between Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
Well, nothing has been finalized yet, although, Saudi Arabia is trying hard to finalize a Mega-event for the Heavyweight fights. And Joshua vs. Wilder would be a big part of the contest, but right now Joshua solely wants to focus on his current bout. AJ spoke to media about the prospects that he has on his mind.

The Heavyweight division, for now, is currently struggling to make the fights happen on a big level. The last big Heavyweight fight was Joe Joyce vs. Zhilei Zhang which took place on April 15th, 2023. Prior to that, Anthony Joshua faced Jermaine Franklin on April 1st. Although currently, Jared Anderson faced Charles Martin, there weren’t any titles held on the line.
Anthony Joshua is currently concentrating more on staying active. In an interview with FightHype, he said, “I can’t wait for the Wilder fight. I have to stay focused. Why wouldn’t the Wilder fight happen in August, bigger reward in general, bigger option.”
So, Joshua wants to stay busy and doesn’t want to waste time. He also stated that in Britain, except for the Joyce-Zhang rematch, nothing has been announced till December. So he doesn’t want to remain stuck in the same loophole.
Not only that, but he also believes that the Whyte fight will prove to be quite an important fight for his career. Both fighters are coming off a redeemed victory against the same opponent, and are kind of at the same stage in their careers. So, both of them are putting their worth on the table when facing each other, as to who has a better comeback out of the two.

Joshua said, “I’m really wasting my time, waiting for people, chasing people. From day 1, I started fighting, even from the amateurs, you can see the trajectory I’ve been on. Ready to get down, ready to put my neck on the line and fight whoever, and it’s still like that. Dillian is a very credible, solid opponent.” He further stated that he has an “underlying respect” for every fighter who’s ready to step inside the ring anytime against anybody.
