During the interview with Viddal Riley, the English cruiserweight champion asked Joshua about his playlist: “What’s been on AJ’s playlist this camp?” Riley wanted to know about the songs that help AJ to maintain his focus. Without missing a beat, the 6’6 feet boxer named Adele’s 2007 debut single, “Hometown Glory” as his biggest motivator, besides other mentions. “Adele – Hometown Glory, Interstellar, The Gladiator Theme Song,” replied the heavyweight giant, with a huge smile on his face.

AJ made it clear that he was talking about the background score from the ‘Gladiator’ movie starring Russell Crowe. It is also worth noting that there was only one song in the playlist mentioned by Anthony Joshua while all the other were soundtracks from major movies like, “Roman, Gladiatorial, 300 Spartan type of stuff,” which helps “get my mind right for war.”
