Is Anthony Joshua's community work more impactful than his boxing career? What do you think?

Anthony Joshua wants to give back to his community. The British boxer has ensured whatever he earns in the squared circle, he uplifts his community, especially the younger generation with the same. And what’s the best way to give them an early Christmas gift than to make them meet the cast of ‘Red One’, a movie centered on Christmas and starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson?

Joshua, 35, started ‘Clean Herts Community’ to uplift his community across his hometown of Watford and other parts of Hertfordshire mainly. His community-interest company includes short, medium, and long-term projects, which even include free boxing classes, football camps, and other development programs.

But when the two-time world champion got an invite to grace the red carpet and meet the Hollywood star, he also gave his community’s kids the opportunity to meet the WWE star, who has inspired generations to chase their dreams.

Joshua, at 28-4, turned to his Instagram handle and shared the snaps from the night. He wrote, “Red One premier!! @cleanhertsco brought some legends in acting to meet some legends in the community, seeing the kids meet the cast was a highlight moment. I was taking it all in! 🙌🏾.”

In addition, the fans could hear the former world champion commending Johnson, 52, for his work and thanking him. He said, “Yes, here we are at Red One. Thank you so much for inspiring the next generation. We appreciate it.” Interestingly, the two superstars of their field share a close bond, as Joshua had once shared boxing tips with Johnson when the actor was promoting his ‘Central Intelligence’. That’s not it. He also once admitted who would come on top if the two clashed in a wrestling match.

The Watford native, in a conversation with TalkSport, backed himself to defeat Johnson. He declared, “100 percent me. You’ve got to have belief in yourself.” What’s more? When Joshua suffered a defeat against Andy Ruiz Jr., Johnson backed him to bounce back strongly. He had commented on one of his Instagram posts back then, “Class act. You’ll be back even better brother.”

Therefore, their strong relationship goes beyond the sphere of entertainment and sports. Joshua is currently catering to minor injuries and recovering from his loss to Daniel Dubois. Eddie Hearn recently disclosed that ‘AJ’ would be back in the ring next summer. However, it also means the rematch with ‘Triple D’ for the IBF gold strap won’t take place, as previously thought.
