Earlier this week, promoter Eddie Hearn branded the WBC super lightweight title holder as “a tremendous fighter“. He even assured the public that after Prograis vs. Zorilla, they would approach the current undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney. “I’m interested in him [Devin Haney] fighting Regis Prograis. We’re going to make him an offer for the Regis. I will provide him with that shot against Regis Prograis,” Hearn stated in an interview with IFL TV.
Since Hearn believes Haney would not “want to fight Shakur“, he would suggest Haney vs. Prograis next in the sport. Additionally, on being asked if Prograis could defeat Haney, Hearn declared, “Absolutely.” “I think Devin’s an outstanding fighter, but Regis is a tremendous fighter,” he added. Before Prograis vs. Zorilla, Hearn almost reiterated himself.
