While Ryan Garcia battles allegations of using PEDs in light of his positive drug tests following his recent win, Gervonta Davis found himself wading into the controversy. Most believed that Tank was earlier siding with Devin Haney after the latter lost to Garcia. However, now, ‘Tank’ has made it abundantly clear that he is not fond of ‘The Dream’. Ever since the results of Garcia’s PED tests became public, Davis has been vocal in his support of Garcia while also alleging foul play against Devin Haney. This might be the reason why things came to a head when the two recently bumped into each other in a nightclub. So what happened?

On his X profile, boxing reporter, Michael Benson posted a blurry clip of Tank along with a group of guys confronting another group of people that included the WBC super lightweight champion. The altercation seemed to be getting tense just before the video cut away. The captions on the clip read, “An obscured video has now emerged seemingly showing Gervonta Davis confronting Devin Haney in person today…” In the video, Tank can be repeatedly heard yelling, “I’m on your side… I’m on your side.” It seems like Davis intentionally showed up to the place where Haney and his team were in an effort to confront him. This has become evident from the series of posts Gervonta Davis made on his X, before and after his confrontation with the ‘Dream’. While the clip is going viral on the internet, another entity has now jumped into the mix.

Conor Benn earlier today chimed in from across the pond with his own take on the clip. The English welterweight took a direct swipe at both Tank and Haney. On his X, he wrote, “Angry little man being aggressive towards women again.” While it is clear that the “angry little man” dig was toward Davis, the “women” dig seems to be a shot at Haney. Earlier this year, Eddie Hearn, Conor Benn’s promoter, wanted to match Benn against both Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis. However, both turned down the offer.

Meanwhile, the altercation looks like a well-planned confrontation by Tank. The evidence for the same could be found all over his X. However, Tank, as usual, deleted the posts the very next day following the run-in. Thankfully, others on the internet archived it.

Was Gervonta Davis looking for a fight?

Earlier today, the 29-year-old posted images of him with a luxury jeep parked by the street. In the caption, he wrote, “Aha, can’t stop s*** and we on their side.” Later in the comments section, Davis confirmed that the Mercedes Benz G63 belonged to Devin Haney.

In another deleted X post, he wrote, “Tell them how I made you and your team dip out, and I’m on your side of town. That n***a a cold b***h.” While this could all just be a troll Tank was pulling, Haney too confirmed that the car was really his. He took cognizance of Tank’s post and responded through an Instagram story: “This n***a like my car so much, he took a picture next to it. Send him one @championmotoring.”

In the wake of Ryan Garcia’s positive PED test, Gervonta Davis has intensified his criticism of Devin Haney. Davis seems particularly suspicious of the entire situation, suggesting there may be more to the story. Fueling Davis’s suspicion is Devin Haney’s association with Victor Conte, a controversial figure who helped create VADA, the anti-doping agency that flagged Ryan Garcia for PED use. This aligns with Garcia’s recent claims suggesting a potential conflict of interest.

Thus, the outcome of Ryan Garcia’s B-sample test, scheduled for May 22nd with his attorney present, will be crucial. If the sample comes out positive, Gervonta Davis will be left eating his words. And for some reason, if the tests do come back negative, it would signal the beginning of an ugly feud between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.

What do you think will happen?
