Parker said, “Obviously going into a fight you back yourself and you know what you can do, he’s done a lot since we first fought I’ve done quite a bit as well since we first fought so it’ll be a great matchup and it’ll be a good rematch and I back myself to take you, I’ll take care of business.”

“He is very durable and very tough, you know he’s got that Mexican style and sort of confidence within himself, but in the heavyweight division, one punch can change anything.”

However, Joseph Parker praised his opponent ‘The Destroyer’ for the achievements that the latter had garnered since they fought in 2016. Notably, Ruiz Jr. had crowned unified heavyweight title. Though the achievement was short-lived as he lost the rematch. Moreover, it added new dimensions to Andy’s game and inculcated confidence in knocking out unified world champ Anthony Joshua.

Parker further added that anything could happen if he faces Ruiz Jr. in the future. He believes one great jab or move can change the whole scenario of the ring in the heavyweight division.
