Recently, the Mexican heavyweight star extolled the virtues of the controversial boxer. He claimed ‘The Problem Child’ has good fundamentals, which would make him a “hell of a fighter.”
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, ‘The Destroyer’ compared the 25-year-old star with himself, who also faced a lot of criticism for his physic earlier.
“A lot of people underestimate Jake Paul as well just like how they did to me. I think he has good fundamentals. He learns fast and I think he gonna be a hell of a fighter. A lot of people talk s**t and all that but at least he has the balls to go inside that ring because so many people lost their lives getting inside that ring,” Ruiz Jr. said.
Next, he reflected on Paul’s upcoming clash with Hasim Rahman Jr. According to Ruiz Jr., this is going to be a good opportunity for ‘The Problem Child’ to make a big payday and show his critics to stop judging a book by its cover.
