Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate recently made headlines for his extravagant response to having his luxury cars confiscated by Romanian authorities. The Romanian national, his brother, and two women are under investigation for alleged human trafficking. Moreover, after spending three months in pre-trial detention, the brothers were recently released from prison and put on house arrest while the investigation continued.

Tate’s controversial online persona has earned him a large following and many detractors. In the past, he has been banned from social media platforms for alleged hate speech and misogynistic comments. However, he also has a massive fan following and is a master of controlling the narrative. In addition, he even trolled the Romanian officials who seized his cars after he was arrested.

Andrew Tate responds to police officials confiscating his car

Upon his release, Tate wasted no time trolling officials for taking his cars by announcing that he had bought ‘ten new Bugattis’. He took to Twitter and uploaded a video of him calling out the police officials. He claimed that the officials took all his cars so he has now bought ‘ten new Bugattis’.

 

They raided my house and took all my cars so I bought 10 new Bugattis,” he wrote. However, it was later revealed that the Bugattis he referred to were actually scooters with the ‘Bugatti’ logo on them. Tate’s response to having his cars confiscated highlights his social media presence. Whether his announcement of buying ‘ten new Bugattis’ was a genuine shot at being humorous or a publicity stunt, is open for speculations. It is clear that Tate knows how to generate buzz and remain in the public eye.

Andrew Tate’s house arrest extended for another 30 days

The Tate Brothers’ house arrest was extended by a Romanian court for another 30 days. They were first arrested in December 2022 and were kept in prison. However, on March 31, 2023, they were released and are now kept under house arrest until the investigation is completed. And now, their house arrest has reportedly been extended for another 30 days.

The latest extension means the Tate brothers cannot leave their homes until May 29. The outcome of this investigation is yet to surface and it seems that the brothers might be under house arrest for a while until this whole investigation is completed with authorities completing their due diligence.
