Canelo Alvarez, on November 6, will enter a 12-round showdown with Caleb Plant for the undisputed super-middleweight title. This fight was in contention ever since Alvarez destroyed Billy Joe Saunders.
As the P4P king is undoubtedly the toughest test to crack for Plant, ‘Sweethands’ roped in the retired boxing star, Andre Ward, to prepare for Alvarez. That said, after Plant’s training session with Ward surfaced over the internet, fans believe the American boxer is helping ‘Sweethands’ because he shares a rift with Canelo.
However, Ward put an end to these speculations in his chat with FightHype. He said, “Well, I don’t have no like. I don’t have no history with that guy. Like you know, the internet, since I retired, they came up with this rivalry that’s not real. You know this man has never said my name, you know, pertaining to a fight when I was active or when I was retired. I’ve never said his name.”
