Can Mike Tyson still pack a punch, or will Jake Paul tarnish his legendary legacy?

Millions will watch Mike Tyson make his way to the squared circle when he takes on Jake Paul. But one fighter will watch the game closelyAmir Khan. He would like to step in and intervene to protect boxing’s pride if ‘Iron Mike’ loses the fight. It might not end well for ‘Problem Child,’ as the British boxer has specified his intent to “sort him out.”

Tyson, 58, and Paul, 27, will exchange blows on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The fight has evoked fans’ concerns about the former world champion’s health and body to endure the fight. In addition, Paul, at 10-1, is in his prime, whereas Tyson, at 50-6, hung his boxing gloves almost 2 decades ago. So, some bill the fight as a mismatch. Khan, 37, admitted it wouldn’t be a good look if a former world champion lost to a YouTuber. Calling it a bad look for boxing, he then disclosed his desire to jump in and sent a warning.

Khan, at 34-6, told Prime Casino, “At the end of the day, it’s Mike’s decision to go in the ring and fight. If he gets beat, you want to protect your friend and jump in and say I’ll give a beating for him. So if he beats Mike Tyson, yeah, definitely I’d like to give him [Jake Paul] a little slap and sort him out.”

A former world champion himself, Khan, also pointed out he wasn’t feeling sorry for Tyson, as the latter had taken the chance. However, he admitted his worries for his close friend, as he cited the 30-year age difference and Tyson’s weight disadvantage coming into the fight.

The Bolton native also wondered how seriously ‘Baddest Man on Planet’ was taking the fight.

‘King’s remarks reflect the fans’ sentiments at large, as they keep on wondering why the American boxer picked up a fight with Paul in the first place. While Tyson is set to earn millions, many fans, including Khan, have wondered whether this fight will end up putting a dent into his record and legacy. It remains to be seen how the fight pans out and whether Tyson can turn back the clock.
