Not only is Khan a former champion, but he also faced Alvarez in their massive showdown back in 2016. Needless to say, his acumen of the ‘Sweet Science,’ and assessment of Alvarez is relevant. In an interview with Fight Hub.TV, Khan acknowledged Alvarez having a size advantage but felt that it bears a mention he is no longer in his prime.
He stated, “Charlo and Canelo. Canelo is too strong, but then again, looking at Canelo’s last few fights, you can see that he is ageing a little bit. He is been getting caught a lot more he got beat by Bivol. Canelo still has theat X factor that he’s always had.”
Khan also gave Charlo credit for being a young and competent boxer. He stated, “You got Charlo there who is an amazing fighter and you know look good in all his fights and strong as well.” He adds, “He has decent and good boxing skills.” It is safe to say that Khan does not disregard Charlo being the victor unlike many in the boxing realm.
