With the ongoing feud between the two brothers who are not on talking terms currently, Jermall Charlo took everyone by surprise on Saturday when he showed up for his twin brother, Jermell Charlo‘s bout against Canelo Alvarez. Jermall stood by his ‘little’ brother through the fight and changed the narrative for the better. Turns out this was only short-lived. Things took a turn for the worse as Jermall again disregarded his younger brother’s feelings and decided to be friendly with Terence Crawford.
Terence Crawford had taken a shot at Jermell after he lost his undisputed title in his last bout against Canelo Alvarez. This was in response to Jermell instigating the undisputed welterweight champion for a fight. Jermall now seems to siding with his brother’s potential opponent right after rekindling the hopes for a reconciliation.

Has Jermall Charlo Betrayed Jermell Charlo by Siding with Terence Crawford?
Jermell Charlo’s ambitious attempt at jumping two weight classes and clashing with the undisputed Canelo Alvarez caused him his 2nd loss inside the ring. The unprecedented fight ended with Canelo dominating Charlo throughout their 12-round bout and winning a unanimous decision. Charlo soon after made a bold move by calling Terence Crawford to brawl with him. “I’m down to fight whoever, you know? Hey, I want to fight Terence Crawford. F*** that. I could fight Terence Crawford at my weight division,” he said after the fight. Crawford, however, has not taken this too well.

‘Bud’ dumped on Jermell multiple times on his social media. Bud went so far as to post a picture with Jermall to his Instagram story. In the image captioned – ‘Friends’, ‘Bud’ can be seen standing hand-over-the-shoulder with Jermall at his brother’s Saturday night match. What is even more triggering is the image taken somewhere between the 11th and 12th rounds, shows Jermall smiling at the camera as he poses for the picture. This is what has become a point of contention for many.
Fans are not happy with this stunt that the older Charlo twin has pulled. Some perceive it as a betrayal on Jermall’s part after he gained his younger brother’s trust by being present and supportive at the Charlo-Canelo match.

The Jermall-Jermell rollercoaster relationship
The twin brothers who were inseparable earlier have grown apart, or at least that is how they describe it. Jermall is known to stir up trouble in his personal life, something Jermell is not very fond of. He tried to protect himself from getting into any soup due to his older brother’s behavior.
“Sometimes I feel like he don’t be growing and I can’t chastise him. ‘Hey, just live your life, bro, running into the errors that you run into.’ That sh!t ain’t got nothin’ to do with me. I be in my own lane, he be in his own lane,” said Jermell, touching upon the subject of bitter relations with his brother on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.
