Things aren’t looking good for the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney fight, folks! In the not-so-distant past, reports surfaced online suggesting ticket sales for the fight were low. Something Garcia took immense offence at, as he outright rejected the idea! However, with mere days left in the fight, the Victorville native is offering people money to watch his fight!
Garcia and Haney will look to knock each other’s noggins off for the WBC super lightweight title, currently in Haney’s possession. However, before the bell rings on Saturday night in Barclays Centre, Brooklyn, New York, Garcia hopped on social media to reveal he has paid $100,000 to twelve women to attend the fight and cheer for him.

Turning to X yesterday, Ryan Garcia wrote, “100k offered to 12 Woman Just come to the fight in front row And cheer me on!! Let’s go.” Moreover, at the time of writing, even though a majority of seats are sold out, many are still unoccupied, as per Ticket Master. As to why these seats aren’t sold, there are several potential reasons.
First of all, the fight is eerily close to Canelo Alvarez’s fight against Jaime Munguia, an all-Mexican bout. So, people might not want to shell out money for both events, especially the Mexican fan base, because the Canelo fight is on the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Second, the venue could also be a potential reason, as big fights are often held in Las Vegas!
However, all that is speculation. There’s always a chance of people cleaning out the tickets at the last moment, but with time, it seems highly unlikely. Ticket sales aside, here’s what’s in store for the people who have bought the tickets.

Next on the card, Arnold Barboza Jr., who was the official replacement for Ryan Garcia, will face Sean McComb in a ten-round bout. Returning to the ring after a year of inactivity, Barboza will look to defend his regnal super lightweight title for the second time. Just before the main event, John Ramirez and David Jimenez will battle it out for the vacant WBA interim super flyweight title in a twelve-round fight.
With less than three days left in the fight, Ryan Garcia seems to have let up and paid people to come watch his fight against Devin Haney. However, will all his hard work for the fight pay off? Will Garcia be able to make Haney taste defeat for the first time in his professional career?
