Oscar De La Hoya is a self-made man who reached the heights of success, becoming a world champion and a successful entrepreneur worth $200,000. Everything was looking great for the CEO of the Golden Boy Promotions at the beginning of this year, with his star boxer ready to face Gervonta Davis in a highly anticipated bout. However, the chaos began after Ryan Garcia was handed the first loss of his career by Davis.
The loss itself wasn’t something that bothered Garcia too much. However, being left alone post-fight by both his trainer and promoter deeply hurt Garcia. He soon changed his trainer and even ended up sending a demand letter to ‘Golden Boy’. The boxer had alleged violations of promotional agreement by ‘Golden Boy’. However, Garcia also got sued by the Promotions as well. Now as the bad blood continues, De La Hoya has issued a stern warning to everyone.

De La Hoya recently took to social media to send out a strict warning to all those who plan on taking advantage of him in the future. He also addressed those who have taken advantage of him in the past. De La Hoya wrote, “To everyone who got away with a free ride.” He thanked god for being intelligent enough to not be used by such people in the past.
To everyone who got away with a free ride. Thank God, my hard work and my smart decisions that I’m worth hundreds of millions of dollars but the free ride is over. Good luck to everyone that does not contribute to society and my life.

De La Hoya wrote on X, “Thank God, my hard work and my smart decisions that I’m worth hundreds of millions of dollars but the free ride is over. Good luck to everyone that does not contribute to society and my life.”
This message comes amidst the legal tug-of-war between De La Hoya and Garcia. This outburst may just be stemming from Garcia’s most recent motion to dismiss the promotion’s complaints against him.
Garcia joins hands with De La Hoya’s rival
The rivalry between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and De La Hoya is very well known. Moreover, Floyd made a statement previously stating that if Davis had lost, then he would have been by his side when asked about the Garcia-Oscar De La Hoya tussle following the bout billed as “It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This”. These words seem to have put him in ‘KingRY’s’ good books.
