Ahead of his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. last year, Conor Benn failed the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association tests as VADA identified clomifene in Benn’s urine sample. After the results became public, Benn cited “contamination” and denied taking anything. Benn, who insisted on having his innocence proven, according to the latest updates, is expected to return to the WBC. While Benn looks to get a ruling in his favor, Michael Benson took to Twitter and informed about Benn’s possible return to the WBC. Looks like, Benn can finally have a sigh of relief.

In his tweet, Benson said, “Conor Benn is reportedly expected not to be banned from returning to the WBC’s rankings as it’s been indicated that he will get a ruling in his favour from WBC investigation into his drugs test situation.” Benn, who fought his last fight back in April, as reported by Sky Sports, expressed how it baffled him when people thought he would cheat at 26. Although Benn will return to the WBC, at this point, the BBBofc/UKAD investigation is still ongoing.

Conor Benn on passing UKAD tests and being a professional athlete

After he failed the tests and the results became public defaming him, Benn vowed on getting to the bottom of it. At first, Benn branded the tests as a “faulty test” and then highlighted his records with the UKAD. While critics question his professionalism as an athlete, Benn cited his encounter with the UKAD. According to him, although he passed the UKAD tests, none talked about it. “I passed all my UKAD tests, which people aren’t talking about,” said Conor Benn as the VADA reports became public.

In addition, Benn talked about passing pretty much all the tests in his boxing journey. “I’ve passed all my tests in and out of camp.
