So Maryum ‘May May’ Ali was born in Chicago on June 18, 1968. The daughter of Khalilah and Muhammad Ali is a well-known author who dabbled in rap music. The bio page on her website states that she did stand-up comedy for nearly a decade. In 1992, she put out an album of rap music named ‘The Introduction’ that California-based Scottie Bros. Records released. Her credentials include a bachelor’s degree in social work with manga cum laude. Later, she worked in different capacities at the Los Angeles Mayor’s office. The experience gave her expertise in juvenile delinquency prevention and adolescent development.

As a keynote speaker, Maryum Ali travels the country, delivering talks to organizations focusing on social and human services.
