All of a sudden, Conor Benn has a new opponent in his mind. Although in the latest interview with IFL TV, Benn announced that he would potentially face Chris Eubank Jr. in January 2024, ‘The Destroyer’ now feels he shall set his eyes on an entirely different goal. Now that Jaron Ennis has become the IBF Welterweight champion of the world, Benn believes it is more fitting to square off against ‘Boots’.

In this context, Benn has publicly made a noteworthy announcement. While boxing fans eagerly hoped for Eubank Jr. vs. Benn, the latter indicated a probable change of mind. Well, here is what the undefeated Welterweight boxer said.

After Terence Crawford beat Errol Spence Jr., IBF assigned ‘Bud’ a mandatory title defense against Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. As per the organization, it was must that Crawford negotiated with Ennis before September 24. However, since Spence Jr. activated the rematch clause against ‘Bud,’ the latter could not accept the Ennis fight. Consequently, Crawford was stripped of the IBF belt and Ennis was subsequently made the IBF Welterweight champion. In the wake of this incident, Conor Benn currently feels he and Ennis should go at it.

Likewise, sharing a post that contemplated a potential Benn vs. Ennis showdown, ‘The Destroyer’, in one of his Instagram Stories, wrote, “147. Out with the old, in with the new.” Well, looks like Benn is already considering facing Ennis in the ring. However, what does he probably mean by “out with the old“? Does he mean to stop pursuing the Eubank Jr. fight which was so personal to him? Or, does he mean that he no longer has to bother about fighting ‘Bud’ Crawford?

Only Benn knows. However, here are the next four potential opponents for Benn.
