As trace amounts of Clomiphene (a fertility drug), were found in Benn’s urine, this led to a canceled bout in October 2022 with Eubank. Benn was scheduled to fight Chris Eubank Jr in a catchweight match. However, the World Boxing Council (WBC) later cleared Benn stating that he did not intentionally dope. Benn had denied knowingly taking banned substances. Benn gave up his British Boxing Board license. Despite the WBC ruling in Benn’s favor, UK Anti-Doping and the Board are still investigating him.
