A fight between the two behemoths of boxing has been in the talks for the longest time ever. Anthony Joshua squaring off against the ‘Bronze Bomber’ has fans on the edge of their seats. Eddie Hearn, the promoter of the fight, recently dropped some hints about a potential $400 million mega showdown. According to Hearn, the fight card would involve Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder vs. Anthony Joshua. While none of these fights are confirmed officially, a recent update from Hearn puts things into perspective.
Even though nothing has been officially confirmed, fans can’t help but speculate about the winner. On the one hand, AJ just defeated Robert Helenius and Jermaine Franklin in his last two fights in August and April, respectively. On the other hand, Wilder’s last fight was back in October 2022, nearly a year ago against Helenius. While being active may help Joshua prepare for the upcoming bout, it doesn’t guarantee a win. It just takes one mean right hand from Wilder to end matches, as seen before. But when exactly will this clash of the heavyweight titans happen? Hearn sheds some light!

It can be frustrating to wait for a fight this long, but it’s also understandable because of the circumstances. With such numbers involved, things would move at a certain pace. But the good news is that both fighters are ready to face each other. All that is left is the paperwork, and since fans have waited for so long, what’s a few more months?

Johnny Nelson’s thoughts on Joshua vs. Wilder
Johnny Nelson is a retired professional boxer who held the WBO cruiserweight title in his prime. These days, he is working as a boxing analyst with Sky Sports. Given his extensive history in boxing, he had insightful inputs regarding the potential bout between Joshua and Wilder.
Nelson believes Joshua has got what it takes to take down the ‘Bronze Bomber,’ but he needs to be his perfect self. Tyson has shown the world how to beat Wilder – Joshua just needs to capitalize on that, Nelson said, according to an article from Boxing Social. While the analysis from Nelson may make sense on paper, it’s hard to replicate what Fury did against Wilder. Would Joshua be able to get back up as Tyson did? Only time will tell!
