Did Katie Taylor truly earn her win, or was Amanda Serrano robbed of a deserved victory?

It will “be an asterisk on Katie Taylor’s legacy,” said a commentator, after the Irish boxer’s unanimous victory over archrival Amanda Serrano. While Taylor retained her 140-pound undisputed title, the result left many fans unconvinced, with some believing Serrano had done enough to win. Predictably, whispers of ‘robbery’ quickly began to surface. Serrano and Taylor fought in the co-main event of the Mike TysonJake Paul fight. Their latest fight follows their epic exchange at the Madison Square Garden two years ago.

It wasn’t an outcome Amanda Serrano anticipated. As the more active of two boxers, she even went through a preparatory fight to acclimate to a new weight division. Despite putting on a fantastic performance, the outcome clearly left her disappointed. Like a true champion, ‘The Real Deal’ took to her Instagram handle and shared her battle scars with much pride. It didn’t take much time before fans and many prominent names rallied behind the featherweight champion.
