On November 15, at the AT&T Stadium, a YouTuber faced a boxing legend who retired 20 years ago, and the result was as everyone expected. The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight was a rather dull affair and left the fans disappointed and many furious. Evander Holyfield spoke for everyone when he said, “It wasn’t a good one.”
Since the fight, the fans have been constantly criticizing the main event. They are also calling out the age gap disparity, which was really on focus during the fight and affected Mike Tyson severely. However, the women’s Undisputed Super Featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner does not agree with the consensus. Unlike the others, she really enjoyed the match and defended both the fighters and the effort they both put in.

In a special talkSPORT post-event show, senior journalist and boxing insider, Gareth A. Davies asked Baumgardner about the main event. The 15-1 boxer stated, “The main event was entertaining to say the least.” She was of the opinion that presenting boxing at such a huge stage is a feat in itself.
The Fremont native focused on how almost everyone around the world was watching the fight. According to Jake Paul, the fight reached 60 million households. The Bomb delightfully explained, “To see something historic, and again Mike Tyson just always brings that. And it was a time last night.”
Davies then asked Baumgardner whether she had “concern for him(Tyson) during the fight?” because of the age factor. While the 30-year-old was slightly concerned for Tyson she knew that boxing is part of Mike Tyson.
Alycia Baumgardner admitted, “One thing about Mike Tyson people have to understand is this was embedded in him.” According to her, when you are as dedicated as Iron Mike, your craft becomes a part of you and no one can separate you from that. “You can’t take that away in his own,” stated Baumgardner as she consoled the fans to not worry about the boxing legend.
During the interview, Davies also asked Alycia Baumgardner about the Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor fight. The Bomb was not shy to express her opinion about the fight and also expressed her desire to face Taylor in a future match.

Firstly, The Bomb stated that according to her, Serrano won the fight. She then proceeded to praise the spirit shown by both the fighters inside the ring. Things took a sad turn when Davies threw a huge shade on the trilogy match between Serrano and Taylor, stating that The Bray Bomber might not be too interested in the third edition.
However, the English reporter threw a curveball and asked, “So maybe this is where Alycia Baumgardner steps in?” He inquired whether the 15-1 boxer would be interested in fighting Taylor.
The Undisputed Super Featherweight champion sounded quite confident and stated that it was time to show the world a new face. “I think now it’s time to show the world a different opportunity, and when I say different opportunity, a different fighter at a different caliber.” She further stated that she is ready to face the Undisputed Super Lightweight Champion at 140 or even at 135.

It is quite interesting considering Taylor holds championships at both 135 and 140, so making this fight is quite possible. Furthermore, as Davies mentioned later, it will be a fabulous style matchup and if Taylor does not want to put her undisputed Super Lightweight Championship on the line, she can simply defend her WBO 135lbs Championship against Alycia Baumgardner.
